About Us

Akshar Árbol International School (AAIS) is a K–12 international school in Chennai, offering both the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge International curricula. Founded by R. Subramanian, a chartered accountant, the school is led by Head of School Priya Dixit .

• ECR Campus (Injambakkam): A complete K–12 campus offering Grades ELC1 to Grade 12, inaugurated on Teachers' Day (Sep 5, 2018) by the then Governor of Tamil Nadu, H.E. Banwarilal Purohit, and Sri. S. Ramadorai of Tata & Sons. Located off the East Coast Road at Injambakkam, this campus has been designed with interactive learning spaces that connect different age groups of children in a naturally lit and ventilated building envelope. The learning spaces promote collaborative work environments, with pockets of space dedicated to independent study. Large glass windows capture the natural sea breeze and light, creating eco-friendly learning spaces. Open vistas, cozy and comfortable areas, and greening around large playing fields provide ample opportunities for outdoor classroom experiences and various sports. The campus also features a sophisticated 250-seat performance venue, badminton facilities, a breezy cafeteria, and progressive science labs, art studio, and MakerSpace facilities.
• T. Nagar Campus: Housing students from ELC1 to Grade 5, this campus is situated in a beautiful, well-lit, and naturally ventilated multi-storey building in the heart of bustling T. Nagar. The learning spaces have been designed to promote student-centered learning, with some areas kept open, while others have been made into learning studios. With easy access to the Somasundaram Grounds, students from Grade 1 onwards make their way to the grounds for their sports activities.
